"bloody things.....i got meself into a right state , ended up climbing into the cover and getting all in a tizzy.....anyone else have trouble? "
Nope
Turn the duvet cover inside out, put your hands inside and grabs the top corners of the duvet cover and 2 of the corners of the duvet, then simply turn the duvet cover the right way over the top of the duvet and hey presto it's done! ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

I used to find changing the beds soothing, I could switch off and go into a sort of autopilot, an hour later all beds in the house were changed and the dirty sheets in the wash.
Now however I find myself screaming at Steven cos he gets himself into such a tizzy
I used to wash all bedding inside out when dry fold up still inside out when trying to get double duvets into a duvet cover its easier than having to climb inside the damn things, Steven on the other hand refuses to turn the covers inside out so ends up with all duvet in one corner of the cover - how he manages this I will never know
I even threatened I was going to sew a button onto the corner of each duvet and a bit ribbon on each of the inside corners of the cover so that when he flicked the duvet over the bed the thing would stay in the cover (as it did when I did it) but he claims his way is easier than mine. . . . . . . yeah cos he takes all day to change our bed never mind the girls beds as well ![](/icons/s/lol.gif)

"it puts me in a bad mood whenever i do it.......i agree with jane worse thing in the house to do....... "
I disagree hun
The worst part of housework has always been wiping the top of the doors so I can throw the wet sheets and duvet covers over them to dry cos I cant hang my washing up outside and have no tumble drier I miss my tumble drier

"Well if that's your pet hate, mine is putting up (fitting) curtain rails, not the wooden one's they're easy, those silly metal ones which bend down past the bit where you're supposed to screw! I mean, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, lol. Never fail to piss me off, and if one goes well, the one in the next room will be sure to be a complete nightmare somehow. awwwwwwwwwwwwww el nino.....you poor thing ((((((hugs))))) lol "
Lol, thanks! It amazes me, I can do many a wonderful DIY job... well I did actually do it all as a job for a while... so why not putting up a silly little curtain rail, they are my arch enemy, my nemsis, but I will defeat them one day!!! ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

Still haven't replaced mine - mainly because it's a built in one, which adds £100 to the cost...
Still, at least we haven't had any warm weather requiring ice... ![](/icons/s/eek.gif) |

We have had some (I did say some lol) nice weather up here - I think we have had our summer - 3 days in May
Anyway I tend to leave replacing things until I have no choice then I grump and moan about replacing them, usualy cos they got used and abused til they fell apart thats what happened whith most of my things OK most of my toys
My fridge freezer I got when my youngest was still in nappies and she is 7 now so you can imagine the abuse its been put thru!! Worst person in this house for abusing the freezer is the youngest cos she will get an ice pole and "forget" to close the door properly them gets miffed when I have to throw out all the ice cream still hasnt learnt her lesson tho

When you are shaking the duvet cover the right way out, with a firm grip on the duvet inside it, hold it over the upstairs banister. ![](/icons/s/wink.gif) |
