A LOT a very lot with the cat for scratching my sofa - the back of it must be like a braile book by now from her racing back and forward over it
The youngest daughter cos she will NEVER listen to her parents and actually tidy her room - it looks like a toy bomb went off and the tidy fairy has gone on strike, the oldest daughter cos really there is NO need to use a whole tin of impulse just for going to the shop after she has spent 3 hours in the bathroom stinking that out with all her lotions and potions
But mostly the cat for chasing her tail, growling at the postie, growling at the buzzer, eating my cheese, spilling water all over the floor, Ok I admity Im a grumpy old cow

I admit when i was younger I did loose my temper on occasion and as Bad says you are out of control, which led to me getting into a bit of trouble. I did learn bloody quick after that to curb my temper, so much so very little gets my goat nowadays, either that or I have just gone really boring. |

"I hardly ever loose mine as you loose control when you do. Far better to stop calm in most circumstances for me "
I used to believe that and I used to store up all the pent up anger until one day I really blew my top and ended up making myself really really ill.
Now I would rather have a few small tantrums and not make myself ill than go back to how I was as a teenager, not to mention having to talk a mile a minute to get myself out of bother

Im a bit long in the tooth for that tho and all that exersize no thank you lol
When I get really wound up I shut myself in the bathroom with a good book cuppa and a nice hot bubble bath, then I dont care if the kids kill each other, cover the cat in make up, slam doors, eat all the food in the house, lol I couldnt care less I get that interested in my books and the girls know not to open the bathroom door.
My oldest did once - only once, now she tells the wee one "leave the bitch alone she will eat you alive" never loud enough for anyone else to hear but I have it on good authority from my trouble making 7 year old

Not as much as Gordon Brown! At least we don't throw mobile phones around, push and shove people etc when we don't get our own way.
Anybody know where he is, by the way? He seems to have disappeared. |

The same thing happened with Tiny Blair. He'll pop up when he's ready. he has been running the country for some time. i think he deserves to unwind...amount of times us mortals have wanted to gie up - hell, it must of been tough |

Oh i agree with u. control is important.
But if u don't have a suitable outlet it will just get passed onto some other part of your life
But u have know what your body can do before u start doubting what u may do or not do...
Tantrums at 30 ... and???
JC overturned the tables did he not and no one can find anything wrong with him.
Stop judging yourself by what you see in other ppl and fear u will do yourself. u are your own person. Use your mind...

I agree to some extent, if you feel angry you should let it out in a harmless way , however control is mainly about stopping yourself feeling angry at things in the first place |

What a load of bollocks! There is no real excuse for loosing your temper its lack of control. We don't see every other person loosing it and attacking others.
JC well thats the story, anger can be controlled it just takes patience. People can always get help if they cannot control their temper. If they can't they often find them self behind bars! |

If u look at everything we have achieved in this world,
1. science
2. medicine
I couldn't tell u the precise nbr but i'm sure the ppl
who contributed to this list all had a temper
so basically we would never be as fully far forward
technically. As it was the behaviour of the person being angry that drove them to gain their achievements.
or are not capable f achieving anything without being angry. Is all that we touch pointless. The apple computers would never have been developed if Steve Jobs was not a nasty man to his employees.

Hang on your on a different planet here! Being nasty is not the same as loosing ones temper! To loose ones temper you loose control. People either panic or throw a wobbly when they lose there temper. Very little is archived but loosening your temper!
As for learning from your mistakes as you pointed out 2hrs ago well its far better to keep calm in the first place.

Wait a min. this is confusing.
It's alright to overturn tables.
And anger can be controlled
i think someone has to define what we really mean by anger??
Or maybe its the reason behind why we are angry that should be more looked at rather than the act of being angry itself... |

Not at all there are some who do and others who do not believe in JC so its hardly a good example to use as there is no proof that table turning event took place.
As for bring angry and loosing your temper are different things. I am pointing out that there is a huge difference. An angry man may shout at someone who annoys him. If he loses his temper reasoning goes out of the window and an assault may take place. I think you have the nasty side of Steve Jobs, an angry man and someone who looses his temper mixed up.
My original point was that the forces will use someones anger in a controlled way and they positively avoid loosing control in the services. |

I used to have a really scary temper, I didnt used to see red, I used to go icy calm and all these words came out of my mouth, and it was me saying them! I learned to control my temper with control being the operative word. Unfortunately my blood pressure then went through the ceiling. Nothing to do with having kids lol! I try to put things in perspective now with the first thought being, did anyone die? well thats not too bad then! |

Your being contradictory. U don't need to believe in the JC in order to use the scenarios. It would be pointless to reading now wouldn't it...
u may control it that way but energy doesn't go away it gets reformed into something else.
U were quite happy to use JC in your last post but now since i was using him for this u don't want to use him. haha |

Steve Jobs was angry because his employees wasn't working enough hours to meet his demands
The problem with me and everyone else with words is this:
there is no set definition on how and when we use them. We attach to many meanings to one word for several different contexts
hell, u only have to look at love.
i love you
i love pasta

Seriously, i used to loose my temper really badly. I would get an horrendous pain in my chest and completly "loose it" i would spit so much hate and poison at the person it was aimed at it was truely aweful, im not trying to make excuses but it was mainly to do with my illness. Ive been doing ctb (cognitive therapy behaviour) for three years + now and its like im a different person. I still loose my temper and shout and scream but the "hate" feeling i used to get inside isnt there anymore. Thankfully |

Only ever been known to lose my temper when defending my kids or friends, and have left the offender in pieces.
