Mind reader software

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Open source mind reader software that links to Google Glass was on the news this evening. Developed here in Shoreditch.

I find the idea of Google Glass a bit scary anyway.

Then the Government is pushing through the snooping bill as a matter of urgency.

Have we given up all rights to privacy on the back of becoming enslaved by technology?

If it tries to read my mind it will have a blank screen.

It'll be using your mind to control something on screen. Not reading your mind.

True.

No privacy anywhere, all companies share data.

And the government will know shortly after.

Despite having an open mind on all political persuasions, I am confident that the current government will never know what the average person in the country thinks or needs!

Yes...I'm not particularly impressed. It's like having a nosey individual trying to read your texts whilst you're stood in a queue.

I understand the need to gather intelligence. ...but how effective is gathering everything in the massive digital world and trawling through it in the vain hope you find something tangible to work on.

Besides with this media reporting everyone up to no good will now adapt a new practice.

I will publicly announce you are a nice intelligent lady Lickety.

With google glasses folks will just live stream their entire lives. Some try pretty hard to do just that now.

Thank you.

Now they use the mind reader software and find out what you really think.

I just don't like the way that it's being rushed through. The fact that all three party leaders got together and agreed this between them worries me most of all as that effectively shuts down the parliamentary debate we the voters might hope would take place.

I would suggest it is being accelerated through as a result of credible intelligence of new threats that many of us have no comprehension of.

However. ..I believe that whilst most of us have nothing to hide or worry about, our democratic make up if our country is becoming a little distorted, when things get rushed through without it being debated.

I don't doubt that a "credible intelligence" link will be made to justify this at some point. My worry is that all future decisions will come down to this and made - more explicitly - by three men locked in a room and then standing in front of cameras stating that it's the right thing to do.

Water cannons have arrived in London which will force the Home Secretary's hand to approve them. We are losing due process.

Interesting perspective. I've stood on both sides.

If we juxtapose a little here, do you believe there are some areas that it's impossible to get due process on ? It's very dangerous to go down that path I agree but how do we accelerate a matter of national security through normal procedures if there is a justified case ?

I think we have the tools already.

Then I am troubled that we stray from the correct paths. Do you think people act with honest intentions in such circumstances or that they have ulterior motives? I am trying to understand your stance.

Don't know what all the fuss is about with google glass, if you truly think your not watched, photographed or recorded at some point every day you are mistaken.

Happy thought isn't it !

I think honest intentions become distorted when you have to juggle the security of nation, international pressure and what your advisers are telling you.

Central

The agencies were able to activate your camera and see/hear what you have been doing on demand for some years, courtesy of our laws and tech company involvement. Our minds are long since trespassed upon.

Due process goes out of the window when you have the likes of the CIA,NSA having the god given right to monitor my Emails,Texts and call records on the pretexts of national security..Whose Nation ?

I have openly stated on the world wide web and will continue to say that i think they are a bunch of self serving self perpetuating bunch of arseholes who have caused the death of more British than any Terrorist....

..Think Friendly fire or as they like to call it blue screen.
