"Silly question but have you tried anti histamine?"

Have tablets and nasal spray which is usually enough. Not today though!

First thing I tried. Nothing recent. Off out to find out.

If I'm not back in 30 minutes, wait longer

probably no need for a&e as you are able to ask for advice on a swingers site rather than nhs advice sites! Go to drop in centre or GPs

Don't fuck about with asthma. My uncle died of an asthma attack. People don't realise how bad it can get and how.quickly.

Thank you. And apologies, bit of an odd thing to post. Just did so on the off chance it would save a wasted trip to the chemists. Which it did.

All sorted

Really? They are prescription items so I'm very surprised if a pharmacy can dispense them without a prescription from a doctor.

Pharmacies don't have access to your medical records to check, and even if you've been prescribed something before, that's no guarantee you need it now.

asthma medication is one of the few medicines a pharmacist MUST dispense to an asthmatic who presents requiring an inhaler , as stated above , asthma attacks do indeed become quite serious very rapidly and can result in death . The pharmacist has discretion to dispense in emergency .

Apparently they can do in a lot of cases. I haven't needed or used an Inhaler for several years so had to see a GP fist.

Ah, this is true, yes. I'm on meds that are the same. Missing them can trigger epileptic seizures so pharmacists can dispense if I run out outside of surgery hours or can't get to a doctor for some reason.

I was questioning that pharmacies can dispense just because you've had one before.

As an asthmatic myself, (who's come close to dying from it on more than one occasion), if I didn't have an inhaler and was symptomatic enough for a pharmacist to dispense, I'd be considering going to A&E.

It's terrifying how quickly it can escalate.

As said, they are prescription only. My family - me included - have asthma, and we have had some very serious problems. Please do not risk it and if needed visit any doctor as a visitor, if you cant get to yours or hospital.
