It's their choice. Just as others choose to post a whole load of very similar images.
If it works for them? All good. If it doesn't? Nobody to blame but themselves.
And if such images don't appeal to some they may to others.
You can never please everyone, so the best advice is worry about your own profile. It's the only one you can do anything about, after all!
