According to our local paper Geordie shore as been refused the right to film in Blackpool as it will lower the tone.

Now don't get me wrong I'm no lover of the programme, but how can you lower the tone of a place like Blackpool

So am I and I'm not embarrassed at all,its all a put on for tv and they are encouraged to be as they are, if they were not it would not have lasted as long

Oi! Don't diss Weston on Mud!

It's a hotbed of quality social interaction, exotic nightlife and sophisticated eateries!!

You can tell it's 'on the map' when you get McBusted, Jessie J and Jason Darulo performing on the beach.

It even has it's own mini 'London Eye' and of course the 'Crazy Mouse'!!

What's not to love?

I don't watch TV but I've been to Blackpool 3 times and loved it. Once with my family and twice with friends. Everyone was friendly,our bnb owners were lovely and helpful and the night life was great

There probably are worse places to visit, however like Blackpool I would give those places a miss also

Ive spent a lot more time in the north east, but Blackpool rocks, and glad they have kept them away. Ok I night shag some of them, but it is a show worth missing.

I have been visiting Blackpool for years as I have family there and theres nothing wrong with the place. The town centre round the back streets has become a little run down but isn't there place like this in most towns

As for Geordie shore...I love it but then again I have a sense of humour

What's wrong with Blackpool. I've only been a couple of times but they were very memorable weekends and I'd certainly go again

You can't but the 2 would be well suited however maybe the refusal is just a publicity stunt as so many fly on the wall documentary's film without asking anyway.

they are actually banned from filming in more bars in newcastle than they are now allowed in, they cause more carnage on their midweek bar visits in the toon than is probably worth the hassle......
