Do you look back with fond memories at them or did you hate them with a passion?
I loved them, throughout the school year we always had inter tutor group competitions (some academic/creative and sporting challenges)
I was super competitive and tried really hard (even if i was shit lol) loved the team spirit.
In secondary school it was just athletics events on the actual 'Sports Day' but during the year we would have football, rugby, hockey, netball, basketball, badminton comps to all gain points too.
No parenting events was all about the students. Having said that its my daughters 1st sports day soon as i have been practicing the egg n spoon race.  |

I'm hyper competitive!
I love seeing talent too... It's a beautiful thing. To see the supremely talented display what makes them so good.
Weird but it's one of the few things to make me emotional. |

I loved the Olympics and watching sport in general.. my daughter even at a really young age watched on and tried to copy certain elements from the sports which i hope will inspire her to go on and try them out.
I shout n hollar and really get involved as a spectator.
Will be proud as punch watching my lil un do her best on her first sports day..
they say its not the winning but the taking part that counts. At this young age i can understand tht but does anyone ever aim to achieve second place? |

I loved sports day at school,great fun,but I was always sporty,those that hated sports would have a different opinion of being forced to compete in something they had no interest in at all 
My childrens old primary school had amazing sports days,they had opening and closing ceremonies,picnics for the parents,it was an all day event and everyone looked forward to it |

I have played sports all my life, love sports.
Fucking sports day with a passion, was even worse in senior school when they take you to an athletics stadium and get all the shit out for you to jump over, throw, etc.
Ive always wanted to batter all the other days in the Dads 100M's but Daughters schools has never done it. |

Distance Running events were never my favourite.. i had a teacher who made me do 800m on a day i left my sports bra at home.. i just remember crying as i was in so much pain  |

I was netball and relay, loved it oh to be young again.
I was quite the star in the mind and dads races for my kids sports day, their little faces at the time doing them proud.

I was hoping that during my sons sports days the parents would be asked to join in, apparently due to "health and fecking safety" we where not allowed to compete  |

I loved sports day as a child but it was always good at running....sprinting or long distance, so I suppose you like it more if you are good at it.
Our son doesn't have a parents race...I've been desperate for them to have one to hopefully relive past glories....sod the taking part, it's the winning that matters. |

well im proud as punch, my lil one did amazingly well (as did all the other children) at her first sports day. She came first in the sprint. There was no sack race or egg & spoon race
everyone got medals, and even the parents had a race |
