I'm not sure if I'm being over sensitive or not but sometimes it's good to rant and get others opinions but....... A local couple messaged me yesterday looking for fun and chatting was good, then they sent a friend request and asked if I'd like to meet the male alone. The males age was out of my age range and to be honest if he was that age then he'd had a hard life! I politely declined and explained had I known he was older I wouldnt have chatted for so long. They have now blocked me. My first ever block. Was I naive? I know if one half of the couple are in your range then they can message, but surely it's not a good thing if one is seeking fun alone???? Did I deserved to be blocked for being truthful? Xx |

It's not worth losing any sleep as to why he's blocked you. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, by blocking you he has ensured he doesn't waste his time and yours by messaging you again in the future |

It works both ways, we get messaged by plenty of people happy to ignore that I (the older and male half) am older than their stated preferences. |

Ages are on profiles, surely when you were mailing the couple you read their profile and saw that one half was outside your age range?
And can't see a problem with them blocking you as you already told them that you didn't want to meet. |

It could of been a lot of things going on. The main thing is you stuck to your guns and did what is right for you. That they blocked you is if no significance at all.
He could have got around your age reference blocks by not being upfront with the truth in his profile.

Yes and we get messaged by plenty of people happy to ignore that both of us are older than their preference. We are more than happy with that |

It's only because I have the age filter set up on my profile and just thought that it's not right that if one is out if the age range then they can message and then I'm feeling mean because I've been blocked  that's all x |

Don't feel mean. We've been blocked a few times when we've turned people down it's usually so they don't contact you again by mistake. |

Blocking is one of the tools on here. I use it for people who I don't intend to meet - for many reasons... it may be something they have said that I find disagreeable, something on their profile, or to stop them contacting me time and again when its not going anywhere. I also block people who tell me I'm not what they are looking for so they stop coming up in my searches. |

Don't feel mean. We've been blocked a few times when we've turned people down it's usually so they don't contact you again by mistake. "

You are being over sensitive....
If they blocked you surely that's a good thing if you had no interest in meeting them.
Lots of people block so they don't forget and try contacting again at a later date.
