Form a very impartial point of view, I do find it quite hypocritical that an endearing term is invented for larger ladies but larger guys get quite a raw deal.
No personal motivation in this subject other than a thread I was following on another site and I ended up feeling quite sorry for some of the lardier guys who get completely overlooked because of their size and the fact that that same site (as do others) actively promotes events and themed sub sets for BBW.

Bears are usually large but not all large guys are bears.
In my experience the term bear is mostly used in the gay scene. It usually means a big, hairy guy. |

Whom do you blame for inventing the term BBW and, you allege, ignoring large men?
Should everyone who finds large women attractive also find large men attractive?

I don't use either word I think they are deceive at best and at worst validifies its acceptable to be overweight and unhealthy. |

I think that sometimes too.
It is weird that the largest users do seem to be younger, fitter men and older, fatter women. But then in the outside world it's not unusual to see younger, fitter women with older, fatter men! |

i was recently part of a medical study where overweight people were put against the some what 'healthy' looking people and I came out on top as being very fit and healthy, being over weight doesnt mean you are un healthy any more so than using the term BBW means a woman is beautiful |

Is this beat the fatties down in the forum day?! There has been to a of theads about fatter people surely you can read one of them rather than posting another. Shel is classed as BBW she is a size 22 (big) and she is stunningly beautiful in my opinion. Not all big girls are beautiful and she is the first big girl I ever had although I always go for curvaceous woman. But I don't see what the hell it matters if she is a size 10 or the size she is now. She probably wouldn't suit being a small size.
Although made me lol the unhealthy comment I am a wellness coach for a well known company. She has all her vitamins minerals and portions of fruit required of her. She works out. She also has a busy job. Yeah she is big although a lot smaller than she was but she is a hell of a lot healthier than most girls smaller than her.

The definition of 'healthy' is maybe a little variable though. Of course there are people that are not overweight who are unhealthy in other respects - that doesn't make excess body fat a healthy state in most circumstances. |

when i was on a dating site a long time ago i was chatting to a man for a long time before i decided to meet him, when i met him i didnt realy fancy him he was very overweight, after we had sex he told me he found overweight women repulsive, we were looking at some women on a website like this.
Then i met a man who was very slim and we had a good time. I told him what the other man had said and he said that fat people dont like other fat people and i think hes right a lot of the time. |
