You lot are my widest audience and I want to the opinion of those in the know.

A family member will be undergoing some extensive surgery on an arm very soon and I'd need some input on the difference between the two above for their pre and post op rehab.

I've already done my research but I'd like to hear from anyone with the practical knowledge related to atrophy of muscle and joints.

The thing I would say is get as much physio on it is as possible

I had a major rebuild of my humerus (still got 9" of metal in it) and I was in plaster for a couple of months, the issue was due to the cast my shoulder as well as my elbow locked up and both needed treatment to free up

I have used a tens for years for my knees (as I'm sure you know all about my injury). I found it works really well combined with regular physio. I have a spare battery powered one if you want it.

Used tens with additional physio for my arm...still use it now n then if feeling it too much...

Tens mechines are worth their weight in gold. No idea about the other
