All comments are accepted "This happens to me a lot if I've had a drink, and once happened just before I had a job interview so I googled it. Essentially your vocal chords have had an allergic reaction to something (could be hayfever, or maybe alcohol?) theres not a lot you can do to get it back - try hot water with fresh honey and lemon, and gargling with salt water. I've learned that its alcohol that triggers mine with absolutely no other symptoms at all. Hope you get it back soon!! | |||

This happens to me a lot if I've had a drink, and once happened just before I had a job interview so I googled it. Essentially your vocal chords have had an allergic reaction to something (could be hayfever, or maybe alcohol?) theres not a lot you can do to get it back - try hot water with fresh honey and lemon, and gargling with salt water. I've learned that its alcohol that triggers mine with absolutely no other symptoms at all. Hope you get it back soon!! "Oh interesting, I'm guessing it could be alcohol related
