Has anyone experienced stalking on Fab and in the forums? Its as if they are following all your post too etc.

Could it be that they are just commenting on current threads the same way you are ..rather than stalking you ?

"Has anyone experienced stalking on Fab and in the forums? Its as if they are following all your post too etc. "

I think that stalking on the forums is a matter of whether one responds or not. If you feel that somebody is responding to your posts from a motive other than straightforward reasons ignoring them often works as they get fed up and if you have misunderstood their intention then no harm has been done.

Yes but not in the Forums...It was a female jealous of a meet I'd had and went on for weeks. Amusing at first but then a royal pain in the arse

I don't mind online stalking. But not keen on the one that kept turning up at my work and waiting on my doorstep after we had only met twice. !!! Oh she also managed to upload loads of pics onto here of me and her together that her husband had took.!!! Thankfully admin removed them

I have a very good friend. Used to be a member on here. Left for that reason....guys she blocked (assholes) and other random guys outside her age range (fair enough I was too lol...but hey), would message me and ask me to get her to contact them or, basically, to act as her pimp.

We reported and blocked several guys but in the end she got well pissed off.

Everyone else's loss became my gain tho...hey!

I usually have several at any one time.

Mostly it's people who have an issue with opinionated, strong women who don't "know their place". They follow me around trying to put me in it.

It amuses the heck out of me.

I've had a few from other sites too.

Mostly I only respond to whats been said and dont much care who said it. Sometimes I find I've disagreed with somebody in one discussion only to discover I've been amused by them in another.

Maybe but I don't think so based on the behaviour.

Some people simply have a problem with women who can hold their own in a debate, and speak up when they have something to say, and they feel they have to keep trying to get the upper hand.

Those who take umbrage with a post and then dig through my posting history just to find other things to try to argue with me over are my favourite.

being genuinely stalked is no fun at all. In fact it can and does result in murder.

Our daughter experienced stalking, it wasn't pleasant, the person stood outside her place of work and stared at her, cycled past our house all through the night and left vile and threatening messages on social media among other things. It's testament to her strength of character and his weakness that she eventually managed to rid herself of him.

Stalkers can come in all different guises and stalk for their own reasons. Wether that in their mind be love, jealousy or they think someone has a grudge against them and they want them to pay for it in some way! They are delusional minds and irrational but they dont see that themselves. The seriousness of that state of mind Should never be taken lightly

I had to laugh as at one point the said stalker went round making fictitious things up and when it came to life it was untrue it made other think wtf but apart from making me smile its never been that bad I needed to get the old bill in though I would have no compulsion in bringing a private prosecution for slander if it happened again.

I haven't found it too much of a problem. When I first joined and started posting on the forum, I did find that certain posters tried to belittle me etc, and their mates would join in. I even had a message saying ha ha noone likes you, which I found rather amusing and childish considering she was nearly 50. I challenged it publicly, I won't allow anyone to take the rise out of me. I don't really find it a problem.

People like thaf usually has low self esteem and are unhappy with their life and have lonely as in the real world outside they tend to be social outcasts and have no friends! So they come to places like this to join forces with equally social misfits and try to bully others to give their sad little lives some distorted sence of worth. Birds of a feather etc. X

I fine some people in the forum quite funny and often like their comments, but I feel I have to be careful as if I commented to often it might be perceived as stalking.

I did send someone a message the other day 24 hours after a comment he made in a thread, he's not on my friends list and I had to send another one later cos I realized it might have come across as a bit stalkerish, luckily he took it in the good spirit it was intended in.

I do have a couple of people who comment on every status update and new vari which is a bit freaky tbh

To be honest I'd be quite happy if someone commented regularly on my posts, as long as it was good natured. I'm not particularly controversial when I post so I rarely get any negative comments. However it is usually a surprise to get any comments as I just post bollocks most of the time

"I haven't found it too much of a problem.

I thought Birds of a Feather was a comedy..Made me laugh anyway

Gimp"

Sometimes I sit back and watch it happen to others on the forum. You get the same ones who take offence at something someone says to them and they follow that person round sniping at their posts for days. We haven't had it personally but do wonder if the ones who do it are on medication as often it makes no sense.

I agree, I think there are alot of people who live in places like these in cyber land because they also cant communicate in the real world but in here they can hide away behind their computer in their safty zone.

I find these vague kind of statements/digs tedious and pathetic. 'Some people', 'lots of people' do this/think this/act like this ra ra ra.

If you have an issue with somebody take it up with them directly - or get over it. Or go talk to somebody in the 'real world'.

Now don't come stalking me...
