"well the trial goes on .. he has been shown to be mentally sound at the time of the killing .. guilty or not?"
No idea and thank goodness I don't have to decide I woudl want to have heard all the evidence if I had to do that. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I saw the online report this morning that he is not deemed to have a mental health problem that could affect his decision making.
Now they will look at whether he really sounds like a woman when he screams.

Im still not sure that they could assess someone after the fact as mentally sound - I think they have said he could understand it was wrong to kill someone, but it seems a limited definition. I think he may well be innocent. Whilst he is free, perhaps I should be in South Africa getting shagged by him. Bullet proof vest donations welcome. |

He pulled the trigger so its conclusive he killed her. To me he seems more interest in saving himself rather than paying for his actions what ever the reasons. |

Quite a lot would actually put their hand up to it and admit their actions. There are many many honest people in this world you know and if they killed someone they loved would want to be punished for their actions. |

"ah shit, I have to be the one i suppose. I don't think he has a leg to stand on"
I was tempted but didn't have the heart lol. I haven't been following the trial but from outset I thought, if I woke up int the night and thought I was being burgled, I'd check the whereabouts of my lady before going ape. Also, if he didn't know who he was shooting at, he could've been shooting an unarmed kid or something. As I say, I'm not up to date on it so I'm sorry if I've misjudged, in the meantime.......hang the bastard |

its easy to say that when your not faced with life in prison, but in pretty sure all these honest people you talk about would change their views if they were facing being locked up for the rest of their life
besides he has admitted his actions, he has never said he didn't kill her, he said he didn't realise it was her, and seeing as I'm not a mind reader i have no idea if he did or not |

Odd you say that in the original transcript at the time he did deny shooting her then retracted it and said he shot at an intruder not her. Would people who are honest and law abiding not plead guilty? Well in reality more than 25% do when asked how they plead to charges presented. Its often how you are brought up though some children and subsequent adults have been brought up in an environment that lying to save your skin is acceptable rather than facing up to your responsibilities so on that I guess we differ. |

would honest law abiding citizens not hold their hands up and plead guilty to shooting and killing someone? I'm sorry can only i see the irony of that statement
no, they wouldn't shoot them in the first place, its because they are not law abiding citizens they have to lie to save their neck, intruder or not if they was law abiding they wouldn't hold a gun to them
and as for your first comment i think you have me mixed up with someone else because i never said he denyed shooting her, honest my posts are still there go check |

"Pistorius has been arrested for fighting in a nightclub. Is it normal for someone on trial for murder to attend a nightclub ?"
I would have thought he would have other more pressing issues on his mind |

But why let a murder trial get in the way of a good night out eh ? |

The report I heard said it was less of a fight and more that Oscar Pistorius was pushed over by a business man who'd become a tad over enthusiastic when questioning the runner about his on-going court-case ,,,,
As for whether Pistorius should've been in a night-club at all.....
I kinda guess it probably wasn't a wise move.... but then again, I don't suppose he'll be getting many more opportunities to decide where he spends his evening....... |
