Before the Net there was loads of them to choose from, some where better than others. I had more success with the mags than I ever did with the Net but it didn't come cheap you had to buy the Mag and pay forwarding fees on any reply you sent or you could place an advert yourself.

I remember some mags. I would buy them, but never had the courage to call or forward. Thinking back, wow maybe some lost opportunities lol

Anyone remember Rendezvous?

You had to buy the mag, search the desperate ads, then send your letter to the contact, inside another envelope with a forwarding fee to Rendezvous, and if you were luck got a letter back maybe weeks later...

Dire - and everything was really a bit of a risk - I nearly got into one very dangerous meet from that.

Love it or hate it, thanks goodness for t'internet!!!

I remember Rendezvous, not sure if they're still going as I've not been in a newsagents to look for a mag in years. Yes it was risky, still is really.

I found the contact mags that had phone numbers in where full of working girls.
