What do you order when you are having a meal out?

I was at the Social last night and didn't get to bed till 5AM and had to be up at 7 and felt too knackered to be bothered to cook. I was also still buzzing from last night, so I went out for dinner.

I ended up having a big mixed grill, half of which I ended up bringing home for the dog and I still feel podged now. I normally just order a steak when I dine out, or cheese and bacon topped chicken.

What do you tend to order when you're out?

All depends what restaurant I'm going too. Just lately I'm all for trying something different every time I go out to eat

I don't enjoy dinning out,,,,

It's something I really struggle with...

But if I had to choose one meal it would probably be a large pizza made for sharing with my fellow diners ....

I love fish, so if it's a restaurant that has a "catch of the day" that's what I'll pick. Seabass is one of my favourites.

I love my local tapas bar too & going out with friends choosing a selection of dishes between us. My fave kind of dining out.

I'm vegetarian and i also find finding nice food while eating out hard too, for some reason most places seem to think macaroni cheese or some nut based meat alternative is all we eat

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I don't think I have a usual. It depends on the restaurant, the time of day and the occasion.

I never choose the offal and I don't do mushrooms or oysters and squid. Other than that it depends on my mood and the menu. I like seasonal, fresh food when I eat out.

Last time we ate out was in the Porto in Bowness. Scallop dish for starters then halibut in a broth. As best meal I have had in years.

I usually go for a chicken dish, but it all depends where we are dating out at. Beef fairly rarely, and I love more of the adventurous vegetarian food you find today. Dont tend to do salads much, as good filling interesting courses are much more stimulating and enjoyable.

I tend to try things I don't cook at home or can't cook. Or seafood as it's my favourite. I can be quite critical though, especially if I think I can cook it better myself.

"Why do you wear ballons?"

Ballons as in the European footballer of the year award, or the French Department of the same name? I'd struggle to wear either, as they don't come in leopard print.

Depends where I go and who with.

If I go out with my close friends, we order little picky dishes, so we can all share. We love tapas or Meze.

If I'm going to a restaurant with people I don't know so well, work colleagues perhaps, or a date, then I usually order a meat or fish dish, that I can't prepare at home.
