Took my boy to see Jimmy last night, next to Mr Marley one of my Ska/Reggae heroes, such energy and such great songs, my ears are still ringing, think my skanking days might be numbered though

Bristol

I once had the pleasure of popping down to the basement of a venue to grab something and bumping into Rico Rodriguez down there - he was warming up in private by playing Somewhere Over the Rainbow. It was glorious!

I love most music but, for me, reggae is the sound of summer.

I've seen Rico in concert many times. Mostly playing with bands like Bad Manners or other little known ska bands. Love his music. I bumped into him once in London and he was very friendly.

Jimmy Cliffe is also a favourite. But the best I have seen from that era are Desmond Decker, sadly missed, or Toots Hibert. As mentioned it is definitely the sound if summer.

Not sure if he's touring, This was in Ipswich.

He's 66 but sounds just like he did when he started out and he was leaping about the stage like a teenager, brilliant, band was really tight too.
