It can't be that great, I find myself watching less every season. There's too much off the field dramas being talked about and it detracts from what should be a great spectacle. |

the Germans have it right with the way they run their league the teams are full of home grown players the clubs have to prove they can run all season with the finances they have.. The prem is a joke full of over paid prim donnas just here for One thing..££££££££ |

Because it has more money to pay out, And why is that.
Sponsorship, It sells more goods and airtime because more people want to watch it so something is obviously working

Bundesliga is run well but its a bit like the Scottish league in terms of predictability.Celtic will win spl and Bayern Munich the bundesliga.And the Italian league is so slow and boring.Entertainment wise the EPL is the best I have ever seen. |

I am no fan of the Prem but this is ridiculous IMO. The Bundesliga is won by the same team every year because if there's a player performing well in the Bundesliga they simply sign him from their rival club who can't really do anything about it. If that's how you want the Prem to be then I have to wonder why. |

Bundesliga is a one team league, Serie A has been weak for a few years and La Liga will once again only have two teams in it once Atletico have all their players poached
The Premiership is by far the strongest and most competitive league. |

I am a season ticket holder at Old Trafford and before you all start I know I am the only Mancunian who is a red...............
However it seems that United are close to signing Luke Shaw from Southampton who is undoubtly a great prospect. It appears the clubs have sorted out the finances its just a matter of the boys personal terms. He wants £95k per week he has been offered £75k, he is nearly 19. If you add this to the fact that Adnan Januzaj was signed up at £65k per week with a reported signing on fee of £5m it seems to me that this level of investment is unsustainable and the beautiful game is a plastic hall way populated by agents and vagabonds that prey on the ordinary Joe who goes every week! |

If the prem is all bollocks why is it the most popular league all over the world? When I have travelled in Asia I certainly haven't seen live bundesliga matches being shown in every bar.
Or is it just bollocks because Leeds are not there? |

The premier league may be the most exciting, and going on last year it is certainly the most competitive. But the best ? How often do English teams win the champions league. It doesn't matter how many foreigners we have here our teams are just not as good as the German , Spanish and maybe a few italian and French teams as well.
As for highest paid, the top five highest paid players don't play in the premier league and only one of them has done. |

Have to agreed although the pace of the EPL games is exciting to watch and will never understand why the english team don't play at that high intensity as they are used to is week in week out and other team would tire if we did. |

It's attendances say it's popular, people pay the gate receipts, the clubs are generally well financed on the back of having a good ratio of guaranteed income from TV and merchandising. For some clubs, the demand for tickets, outstrip supply. It's all of course based upon aspiration and ever spiralling salaries, due partly to the football paying and watching public's demand for more stars and as we have few home grown stars, we import them. Is it the most exciting? Probably. Sadly, when it is cheaper to buy and pay a decent foreign player than to do the same with an English player from the lower divisions, with the pressure for instant success, we get what we deserve at national level. Startling stats I heard on the radio the other day. At the inception of he PL, 73% of players in the PL were home grown, now it's 37%. Speaks volumes. A European super league is coming, as opposed to the CL, the vacuum behind it will be catastrophic....look at the impact of the loss in revenue from Rangers/ Sevco in the Scots Prem.  |

Just been speaking to an old school friend who has played at conference L2 and Prem levels he says obviously the prem is the most intense but enjoyment wise he likes L2 the most as the conference has very high expectations especially if you are with one if the bigger clubs you feel like some of the fans expect you to go and have an unbeaten season |
