Just went for a meal and chatted to a great Cypriot. He had an interesting thought as we discussed how footballers were massively overpaid.
In Roman times Gladiators were poor and were watched by the wealthy...
Now the footballers are rich and watched by the.... less well off

I thought Roy Keane made the point well when he talked about dire atmosphere and that lot in directors boxes being the Prawn sandwich brigade.
Who ate all the Prawn sandwiches does'nt quite have the same ring to it as Who ate all the pies. |
