Personally I think the forums are fine in their current format.

Being able to post videos and pictures would require more server space, which would cost more for the sites owners. This could lead to the site no longer being free or the costs for silver or gold upgrades going up.

I've used a few forums (none swinger) and whilst I have always enjoyed the use of memes to ridicule people I do find the simplicity and clarity in the Fab forums quite refreshing.
