I read that Die Hard was originally planned to be the sequel to Commando, but Arnold wasn't interested so it was rewritten into Die Hard instead (at least according to wiki). |

Remember when we first met John McClane?
Argyle picked him up from the plane,
And took him down to Nakatomi Tower...
To meet with Holly.
He came to get her back and to be her man,
But Hans and his buddies fucked up the plan,
And that's about when everything went sour
At the Christmas party.
And the terrorists were over-zealous,
But it was sweet when they killed Ellis!
And, with a little help from Allen,
John McClane kicked ass!
We're gonna die, die, die, die hard!
We're gonna die, die, die, die hard!
We're gonna die, die, die, die hard!
We're gonna die, die, die as hard as we can!

" Come on the original Predator film has to be alongside it ? Willis does deliver though
Aliens and Terminator also got to be up there."
I'd agree with that. Alien, Aliens, Terminator, Predator, RoboCop and Bladerunner are all up there. |

"What do Terminator, Aliens and Predator 2 have in common?
I was was going to say James Cameron but he didn't direct Predator.
"
Nope, the chap who played Hudson in Aliens 2, played a punk in Terminator and the cop with the hat who had a lot of specialities in Predator 2. He died at the hands of each of the iconic baddies. |

A lot of people confuse Hudson and Hicks, Hicks was in Terminator and Aliens. |

" Now that is real movie Trivia ! "
I've an eye for things like that. I drive my gaffer round the bend at work, when he's watching telly, I'll walk in and say, 'that's so and so, he was an orderly in Zulu.' |

I am waiting for Alan Rickman's "Ladies and gentleman, I give you the FBI" line. Love it!
Although the Bladerunner references make me want to listen to The Ballad of Roy Batty again. I reckon I've got time; we're in an ad break... |

I love that piece of music, the whole score is outstanding...
Let's not forget Roy Batty's final moments, perhaps the finest soliloquy in movie history:
I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate.
All those... moments... will be lost in time, like tears... in... rain.
Time... to die...

I have the directors cut version and it's one of the best 80's films ever, the realisation that Decker himself may be a replicant is a great plot line. |

It is a great twist, most people seem to miss it though. It took me a couple of viewings to connect Deckard's dream about unicorns and Gant's origami unicorn at the end of the movie. |
