for those of you who dont know,aside from being worth an estimated £500million he was also known as the first person to ever use the word "CUNT" on live telivision and he's the reason that they introduced a 5 second time delay for live tv...he was also a magazine tycoon who owned such publications as MAXIM and VIZ to name but a few....he also famously sqaundered much of £100million on sex,drugs and a party lifestyle and the rest of he wasted  he was a good family friend and a big inspiration to me and he will be sadly missed

Urban myth. Delaying a HD broadcast quality video stream by 7 seconds or any similar long time is an expensive and difficult thing to do. If it is thought there is a possibility of age inappropriate behavior during a live event it will be played "off-tape" which is actually these days off of a server. The delay between a live event and it being received off-air is due to the compounded delays in the transmission system.
Now a starter for ten, how do they make sure the tolling of Big Ben on new years eve actually happens at midnight? |
