Has the art of dogging died a death? I've been twice recently to so called local hotspots only to find a bunch of dodgy looking pensioners who all appeared to know each other and a load of boy racers! Have things moved on? Do people prefer clubs or am I just looking in the wrong places?
I'd love to spot a genuine exhibitionist couple out one night! |

I think dogging like swinging and men for men cruising has changed. Some of this is the internet's influence, some due to bad publicity, some from irresponsible and disrespectful behaviours and expectations today. The net gives some the chance for near immediate meets. There is a far wider choice of options for meeting generally now. The police have also influenced dogging, with national clampdowns and the media has distorted things and exposed places. Many influences, some that increases interest, and some that decreases participation due to fear or more choices now. It is alive but people who have been active for years have been discouraged and bad behaviour today is more of the norm, and this puts many off of course. Private arrangemens for outdoors are probably better, where there is lower chance of idiots trooping in. |

It still goes on at a few locations here, but is much reduced from the levels of activity of 10 years or so ago.
The reasons are more or less all covered above.
Its a shame because it gives a more random alternative to clubs for those that enjoy it. |
