It's an awful thought.
At least with photos you can scan old stuff and have a copy for safety. Other than that try not to get attached to belongings and make sure you're properly insured.
I advise buying a note book, then go round and make a list, room by room. You can be staggered by how much you own and what it might cost to replace. Just with cd's and LP's alone, do you know what you have? Would you remember if it all went? Keep the book in a metal/sealed box to protect it from fie or flood.
It's bad enough losing it all but forgetting stuff and not claiming it on the insurance would add to your upset, once you remember after you've been paid. I know, I've done it. |
