A baking potato comes home and announces to her parents that she is in love and has got engaged.
'Who is he?' asks the parents
' He's a Jersey Royal' replies the baking potato.
Her parents are over the moon that their daughter is marrying in to royalty. Sadly. a few weeks later, the daughter calls to say the relationship is over.
A further few weeks later the daughter the daughter phones her parents that she is in love and has got engaged again.
'Who is he?' asks the parents
' He's a King Edward' replies the baking potato.
Her parents are over the moon that their daughter is marrying a king. Sadly. a few weeks later, the daughter calls to say the relationship is over.
A few months pass and the daughter calls again and again says she is madly deeply in love.
'Who is he this time?' ask her parents.
'Des Lynham' says the daughter.
Her father goes beserk at her. 'Are you mad? I forbid it' he shouts.
'But why?' asks the daughter.
' You've gone from a royal, to a king and now you want to marry a common-tatta!' |
