Theres a music festival there next month, as well as some sort of food fair. Not much touristy stuff but Abbey Park is nice for a walk, as is Bradgate Park. My daughter and her boyfriend seem to be out most weekends so I guess they're having fun. |

There's the Strawberry Fields festival and also the Heather Music festival coming up.
There's the Drewery Wall, National Space Centre and loads of tourist and shopping stuff.
Just be aware that parking is a nightmare since they dug up some dead bloke from York! |

Was there last weekend. The reason why the parking is so bad is because they're digging up half the city. I've never seen so many road works, and I live in York!
We had a good time. Happy hour in Vodka Revs on a sunny Saturday. Then lunch at the Orange Tree is something to do. And they are expanding the Chinese buffet restaurant too.
OK Leicester might not rank along side Chester and York for touristy things but they're making as effort. Once the council buildings go it will be a veritable paradise! |

The roadworks are truly nightmarish at the moment and there's no end in sight.
The council offices have always been an eyesore... |
