Any one else find you just about to go to bed and the local helicopter decides its a good time to hover over your house for the past 45 mins circling the area.

it can be frustrating for me, as I want to know what they are out in the air for! I like to just watch them circling, even when I need to be curled up in bed asleep! I'm just a nosy mare!

Think yourself lucky, just had to go round to the next street where they are having their 3rd 'World Cup' party already, bass music blasting out, people screaming and shouting.

Bad enough when missus is up at 6.30am but sons gf had a family bereavement today and is staying over here, can't believe how selfish and ignorant people can be!!!

"So glad I no longer live in a city"

You don't have to, I used to live in a village about 4 miles north of Derby and the Police Helicopter which covers the surrounding counties is based at Butterley Hall Police HQ in Ripley. This is about 5 miles away and used to pass overhead with monotonous regularity.

I know they are doing a good job, but as the op says, it can get a tad irritating to say the least

Some police forces publish a chopper blog, letting people know what they did.

Sorry but no I proberly would lol I few montgs back I was having a social with a lad off here in our old house so he can back this up. Housevon corner his car got smashed bbe up by the little brats so we jumpedbin ours and went after them only to find tipical youths carry guns o well that got pointed and what said they walked off we went back got a crime ref number done dusted.

See in this day world police disapear now when weapons such as guns get shown and u got to wait for armed responce so police legislation now adaysbis pointless calling them

We get this now and again. It can be quite annoying of you've just dropped off but not half as annoying as a mad axe murderer rousing you from your slumbers
