Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

It's the end of an era.

Anyone else watching to see if he goes out with a bang?

It's a big news day given the Iraq/Iran/Isis situation. Something for him to get his teeth into if he gets someone proper to interview. Not another journalist!

I've never been too interested in newsnight and never bought into the Paxman hype. I found his butting in irritating as I like to be able to hear viewpoints. But mostly I see him as just another news person, so no I wont really notice.

He should be awarded a gong simply for the line

"So, Micheal Portillo, Hemlock?" on election night.

Cannock

I'm a huge football fan but even though there was a game on the other side i watched newsnight, had to see Paxman's last show, as Boris said Paxo is part of British culture. Loved it when he interviewed Tony Blair some years ago and he asked.... "Do you and George Bush Pray together?"

On a newsnight just a couple of weeks ago he interviewed Silvio Berlusconi and asked him..."Is it true you said Angela Merkel is an unfuckable lard arse?"

Will really miss Paxman's unique style of interview.

He will be sadly missed...

There are few journalists who are willing to ask the hard questions and puncture the bubbles of the rich and powerful.

I liked his question to Mandelson after calling him the prince of darkness. "Do you believe that Ed Milliband is the best person to be leader of the Labour Party?"

"I liked his question to Mandelson after calling him the prince of darkness. "Do you believe that Ed Milliband is the best person to be leader of the Labour Party?""

And the total lack of affirmative reply to that question!! Ooh he's so slimy that Mandelson though...
