is not allowed I know but... lets say you lent another fab member some cash and all of a sudden they vanish from your friends list, block you, refuse to answer any calls or texts yet you see them still active on here... what would you do?

Ummmm if there was an agreement to repay then I would go to the small claims court. Otherwise, learn from my mistakes

Realise that they were not the friend you thought they were

Titz Towers, North Notts

Tell them I'm a Lloyd's Name and demand my money back.

Somebody would have to be a lot closer to me than just being another fab member before I would lend them money.

I'd report it to admin if I was you though

That's terrible that it has happened, I take it you knew this person well?

So you would have a mobile no? Or an address? Maybe you can contact them that way instead of via the site.

Don't be so trusting in future OP

Contact the police if you have any proof the transaction took place. Do you have an email, message etc you can show?

'Never be a borrow or lender be'. As my mother used to say. Only family or very close friends should you consider lending money to.

If there was a contract whether verbal or in writing, you could take them court.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Depends how much and if you can afford to lose it. If you can, live and learn. If you can't, go round and camp on their doorstep til you get it back.

Unfortunately we can be too trusting

I'd go see CAB as they could offer you some impartial advice and maybe put you in touch with a solicitor

Need to know basis

Probably been said in earlier posts but I would never give money to anyone...to people on fabs or to any of my other friends, it only leads to aggravation, upset and the loss of a friend. I like my friends and want to keep them.

Newcastle

It all comes down to the individual circs and how much you lent them as to which way you could go next. Very difficult to say otherwise :-/

I you have this information I would go the CAB & see where you stand.

Depending on how much you loaned her it might not be worth the fees to recover the cash.
