Bomb them and kill the ones that you want, But also kill many innocent people which might create more "terrorists" seeking revenge,
I don't think its the right thing to do |

I'm going to repeat this til the cows come home. Fix your own home first before you try fixing someone elses home.
...you fucked it up once. Don't do it again. Don't they realise that they are the ones breeding and creating all these 'extremists/fanatics/terrorists' by doing all this?

not saying he is right or in fact he has a valid opinion given his track record but this bunch of murderous thugs are not going to stop lest they are stopped..
they will roll into Bagdhad and there will be carnage or a massive humanitarian crisis..
they're not likely to want to negotiate so what do we do..?
like it or not we helped to destabilise the region that's done so how do we deal with the here and now.. |

A politcal solution is the only way.
Stop suporting the saudis who are the root cause of most of the problems now (waadism )along with the usa of all of this.
Last thing we must do is send military or arms.
ISIS will not take bagdad they are in sheer terrotiy now |

tbh I don't think they will 'take' Bagdhad but they only need to be advancing on it for panic to set in..
then there's the other side who are arming themselves to protect their own..
tit for tat, ISIS or whoever is behind them gets a civil war which goes beyond the borders..
probably too late to stop it tbh, politicians usually fuck it up..

"yep thats the guy who took our troops into war and lied to parliament claiming irag had deployable nuclear weapons!!!."
That's not entirely true. You can't accuse a man of lying by telling an untruth about him.
He did say weapons of mass destruction which isn't exactly nuclear weapons. I get what your saying though. |

I agree it was a lie, the whole dodgy dossier was hammed up to convince us to get on board with the USA as they were going in whatever..
that was then though..
I remember being on the stop the war march and thinking even if this was tenfold in numbers its still going to happen..
maybe we have been reaping what we sowed since then globally ..

He said they possessed the power to develop nuclear weapons not that they had nuclear weapons. It may seem petty and I believe Blair did lie to parliment but he never said they had nuclear weapons. |

Im sorry if I offend anyone, but strong feelings on this. Personally, we should never have been involved in the first place, FFS look at the state of the place now, not a single one of our boys should have lost their lives. God bless those heroes who were doing their duty, and I'm proud of every last one of them, but this wasn't a war that could be won. Another fucking Vietnam. Give the fucking idiots that made the decision to go to war, including Lionel, a gun, drop em on the front line with faulty equipment, no bullet proof vests and inadequate vehicles (because of defence budget cuts obviously) and let them sort it out. When Saddam's scud missiles could reach the UK, we had a problem, and I would have sighed up to defend my country. Rant over |

Not nuclear weapons i think the term used was "weapons of mass destruction". I think Blair was suggesting Sadam had stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons but not nuclear. |

Since Suez in the 50's America calls the shots in the middle east. They can propose a solution and we should applaud it's wisdom. Our support should be non military as us, Saudi arabia and Turkey are the ones who should do the fighting. Expect the usual right wing nut jobs to disagree |

"With airstrikes.. I like tony blaire and I agree with him, we need to help out them.. whats your view?."
MY view is it kind of reminds me of the Kenny Everett character General Cheeseburger. UK and USA have done enough meddling with little understanding. |

"Just to add yes Blair did make this worse much worse so hopefully he will fall under a bus some day soon."
agree he did so however whomever had been prime minister at the same time would have made the same decision, seems to be something that folks choose to ignore..
fact is we are where we are, whilst its not yet on the scale of Rwanda or the Balkans it still has the potential to end up in mass slaughter..

We can either bury our heads in the sand or do something about it and realistically after troops spending years here and some dyeing it would be foolish to not help in some way. |

so other people know what happened in rwanda. Given that it was ignored by the west, which seems strange given that the west likes to portray itself as the saviours of the down trodden and oppressed all over the world. where exactly was it when a million men women and children and babies were hacked to death. It kind of looks like the west is a saviour when it has an interest and agenda of its own to carry out. democracy at the point of a gun ! |

Small Special forces units, intelligence gathering, and advisors - and that's it. As was said before if Tony Bliar wants it so bad he can lead from the front.
The irony I find is I'm not aware of any of the New Labours' kids in the military but the Royals have always been in the thick of it. |

Blair as the UN Middle East Envoy, along with the every other western and the oil rich Middle East country. Have been using the mainstream media to push its propaganda for this last two years to arm these (Isis) bastards and others, to over throw the Syrian regime. This regardless as to what terror they have brought. It's what we call blow back and tony should feel free to be the first one in to sort it out. Next is the Ukraine where they have back neo nazis so nothing has changed. |

I know my views will be unpopular, but this is not a popularity competition.
I believe that Blair has made a number of valid points and that maybe he is correct about the need to use force to curb the spread of Islamic Fundamentalism.
Fact is actions have consequences, and failure to act is in itself an act of tacit support for those you fail to act against. Therefore the choice is do we use force against the fundamentalists and be dammed as Western Imperialist aggressors attacking Islam that need to be put to the sword for our blasphemy, or do we sit by do nothing and be branded cowedly decadent godless Westerners that need to be forced to bend our knees and convert to Islam or be put to the sword for our godless ways?
No matter what we do it will be wrong! Therefore I would rather we do our fighting to protect our way of life as far from our own soil as possible. |

So you guys would just have stood back and let Saddam Hussain commit genocide on his own people? Sometimes people have to stand up and try and wrong the rights..
So easy to criticise! |

Well saw on the news earlier that the Americans may join forces with Iran of all countries to combat Isis in Iraq?
USA with air strikes, Iran and Assads Syrian army with troops on the ground (possibly with support from Turkey) to combat Isis and the Islamic extremists, let them get on with it, we don't need to get involved aswel.

"The sooner he is convicted & jailed the better"
Won't happen. all statements he gave were provided by MI6 and a free vote in parliament means that the decision to go in was not his but theirs. Plus as pointed out the war was not illegal, as in against any law, it's just a media term and multi-millionaires don't go to prison for being smarmy gits and annoying people. |

I think you mean right the wrongs but yes with a heavy heart I would have let Saddam carry on. Of course he was an evil bastard but he kept the lid on what has always been an explosive region. I don't know the numbers but it would be interesting to see how many Iraqi's have died since Saddam was toppled compared to when he was in power, and remember the first number is still counting.
There is an old saying that in this case would be very appropriate. Sometimes it really is Better The Devil You Know.
As for Blair I agree with most of the other posters. We is a Twat (only because I prefer that word to Cunt) |

" Britain always seems to get Involved in battle, now the sunni slaughtering the shier, I look at it Like this the years that saddam was
In power the people he terrorised and
More who still remember those times
Would most likely pass that hatred
Down to their children and so on so
Reprisals could linger and develop
Into bloodshed for many years, with
These sunni fanatics that have just
Carried out similar attrocities as
Saddams troups did the cycle continues
And looks like continueing, to go in
There with troops is not the answer
and longterm would not solve anything
what these fanatic,s have done and
Knowingly have created a horrific
Situation the shea,s will never get
Over this and of course there is always
Evil that will support evil if the situation gets worst thou these guys
That have commited these crimes have
To be brought to justice and again
That is where somebody gets involved
Hopefully like someone mentioned earlier
Like turkey etc but they will probabily
keep there nose,s out like france did
Any one who go,s in there will get Involved unfortuneately and somewhere down the line supporters of the sunni,s
will have terrorists cluster cells
here there and everywhere and the killing will still carry on in Iraq
but for god sake keep britain out it looks
Bad for the sheia unless somebody Comes
and helps them its A horrible situation
But don,t these sunni fanatic,s are off Shoots From a horrible regime and anything they do is true to form of What
Saddams regime would we blame our government for sending the troops in
which cost a lot of innocent lives yes
It did but don,t forget even thou People
Who live there had high esteeme for saddam at keeping people from different
Sides from falling out he was a leader
Don,t forget but he did everything under
The power of a gun or fear would kill
Without the slightess thought as would
His two evil sons so only sicophants
and people that had little choice Usually followed him its hard to believe
Thou now he and his sons are gone why
These sunni fanatic,s believe his way
His the right way forward I suppose Over
The years you get brain washed And death
Is your only answer.
