I've had loads of emails from guys saying they're solvent....or that they've got a good job...why do they say that?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

They might think it will tip the balance between getting a response and getting ignored.

Maybe they are suggesting that dinner will be on them?

I've never had a message like that on here.

"I've had loads of emails from guys saying they're solvent....or that they've got a good job...why do they say that? "

because they believe that money attracts women, and it does attract some.

Brighton - even Hove!

They obviously don't want to get into sticky situations or at least if they do, they want to be able to get out of them

It's because they are twats, but a lot of women are materialistic and like guys with lots of money!

Look on the bright side, if they're solvent they may not have a greedy grasping ex in their baggage.

Conversely, I wonder what the response would be if they said they didn't work and were claiming benefit?

I like the ones claiming that they were / are : pilots or spend their time between here and Dubai. But either way just bragging about their social status.

No interest to me I'm afraid, it's the person and connection that counts.

The guy I have spent most time chatting to and met several times over the years is a factory worker.

In fact I think I'm more likely to hit delete on someone who tries to sell themself off their grand profession

Is it a lot? Pretty much every woman I know seems to have 'not being an arsehole' as their number one trait they look for.

Yeap that's pretty much at the top of my list to. Also not stinking of BO and looking like a tramp is pretty high to.

Titz Towers, North Notts

I once had one from a guy who was very big on sports cars with username, profile pic and clothing all showing a sports car.

I wasn't sure if I was meant to be meeting him or just a sports car.

Central

Im guessing that they may not have had much luck and are just adding it to make them appear stable in the hope of being attractive enough overall. Some people still use fab as a bit like a dating site too, where solvent would be likely appropriate.

Becuase in the normal dating scene, a guy is a more attractive long yerm partner to a woman (or so they believe) if he has a stable source of income. In the swinging world they actually just need to be reasonably attractive and be able to satisfy a girl. The haven't "got" the idea of swinging.

They are hoping to attract the gold diggers. They wrongly assume a lot/most women are gold diggers and it will play a big part in whether you decide to meet them or not. They associate wealth with attractiveness and hope you do also.
