Have spent the afternoon learning this new craze!!!

It's basically Making friendship bracelets out of rubber bands and every kids who's anybody has at least ten on each wrist!!!

Still, kept me and the nephew quiet all afternoon...that's a quid well spent lol

Been going for ages down here. Sent some up for grandaughters in northampton few weeks ago. Got them and thier mates hooked

my 10 year old daughter showed me how to do a starburst one yesterday using a loom. Nice to have this type of craze as a kid, she'll be looking back with fond memories when she get to my age

My youngest raised £150 for charity making them. Sold them for £1each -which i thought was too much. Shows how much I know -sold out within an hour.

My little sister taught me how to do it, but using fingers instead of a loom. I wouldn't know where to start if I was given a loom!

Good thing is it creative, keeps them occupied (& I like to have a wee go every now & again)

Bad thing is they get everywhere! Down the side of the sofa, in the beds, down the sink & in the washing machine.

I do have a lovely charm made for my car now though

I followed a tutorial on youtube. One part of it is really tricky and takes a while but the rest is quite easy

Far too busy crocheting to fiddle about with elastic bands, my niece made me one though. My lad is too busy running around like a crazy person to sit still and make them which I'm happy about as Lego is bad enough on the floor I don't need loom bands as well

oh I remember the days of treading bare foot on Lego bricks ~ ouch!!
