Are you able to prove you didn't - ie in time by being somewhere else? if it's verbal then you won't be able to prove anything ... other than that just keep your head down and don't engage in conversation about it? just ideas - hope they help   |

Nope, bunch of housemate can't prove favoritism going on and apparently evidence based on observation and me acting shifty. |

something petty like tittle tattle is best ignored but something along the lines of an accusation of theft if left unchallenged will only fester and lead to further conflict..
best dealt with head on and if no resolution then look at ones options.. |

i had it at work once, i do community nursing and a lady who's house i go into had a ring go missing, her daughter accused me, i was suspended from work and the police was called, 3 days later i had a call from work saying the charges had been dropped and i could come back to work as the ring had been found while changing the ladies bed
i never even got an apology
its a horrible feeling knowing people think you would do such a thing |

If they have accused you in front of others and there is no evidence then you have a counter argument.

was reading the thread and was just going to post what you did! Majority of times these things happen, and this one says that, other says this blah blah! I wouldn't have it! Get em all together so everyone hears all and nip it in the bud there n then! ... Only way to sort it and clear the air... Plus let it also be known ya aint no pussy!  good luck! |

"How do you handle someone claiming that you have done something which you did not do."
It all depends what you are accused of. If its sitting on someone's crisps laugh it off if someone thinks you have impregnated them then its a whole different ballgame. |
