I would be the first to admit my spelling, grammar and overall use of English is not brilliant, although I have been speaking it nearly all my life. But do people not know how to access the spell check or predictive text on their computers or smartphone? The level of correctly used English on these sites is deploring. Perhaps before the profile owner sets it up, they write it down on paper and consult a dictionary? Alternatively can Fab*** Administration consider adding a link to an on-line dictionary. I'm all for originality and individualism but it leaves me cold and wondering what the sex will be like if communication is so poor. |

"I've had brilliant sex with some who's spelling is not their strong point....people use their brain to spell not their dick or fanny..."
And there was me thinking us men had cocks for brains |

I must admit I get some messages which show a lack of effort, but not just with spelling. I have met some guys who struggle to write a sonnet Shakepeare would envy, but who can go like a barn door in the wind, and sonnets have never really done it for me. |

I find predicted text more a hindrance than a help! The amount of times its caused complete jibberish to be sent instead of the message I intended , I've lost count of lol.
If spelling and grammar is your bench mark for a meet then that is your perogative .But most are willing to over look such slights as this is a fun site, not a CV .As long as you geton with the person and click then does it matter if the message or profile isn't perfect?
If that's a deal breaker for you then so be it. Just don't reply or contact those who don't interest you and focus on those who do.

If your so annoyed at it don't look or 'struggle' to read on!
Talking about grammar while you got your cock out...are you serious?! |

I'm a pain in the arse about spelling and grammar (I blame myself) and have learnt recently from here to not judge someone based on the above as I'm really just being an arse....

Being French, I would struggle for meets if people were only looking at my English! Am glad everybody doesn't! and 'gives me a chance' so to speak!
If I can't understand a profile because of the speech text I decide not to contact. In a message, if I like the profile, I politely ask to use 'plain' English. |

Whilst I'll hold my hand up about being totally anal about my own spelling and grammar I don't mind typos and am aware that some folk have dyslexia (why is it so difficult to spell - bloody Latin and Greek gits)...if I can follow the email convo (and it has to be a conversation to get me to agree a meet) then I'll ignore any misspellings |

Though the idea would be ideal for a more formal site or business forum, it really doesn't matter for a social site such as this.
Technically speaking too, as having run my own business offering Proofreading & Document Checking Services, I know that Spell Checker units in modern PC's and phones are invariably behind the times with the ever changing English language.
Usually, they are at least 12 months behind language update reality, are more often than not biased towards English (American) but crucially, cannot differentiate between varied spellings of similar sounding words and the context in how they should be placed within a statement.
For example: their, there, they're. OR. Your, you're.
In a business world, maybe, but not on here!

Mostly I'm more interested in what somebody is saying than how they say - or write it, but at the same time it's hard not to judge some people on how they write, including both those that come across as plain stupid and those that are really trying far too hard. |
