If i remember right England lost their 1st group game in the 1986 world cup but we then went on to have a good one and Lineker got the golden boot award. I'm still feeling positve about qualifiying through to the knock out stages.  |

Same here mate I think we will over run Uruguay with our pace and attacking play.Then it will go down to the last game and I think we will beat Costa Rica.  Good to be optimistic anyway. |

Was watching these documentary archives as a run up the this World Cup.
In 1978 Chile's captain was Hector Chumpitas and I can remember Jimmy Greaves refer to him as "Trumpetass" on the Saint and Greavesie Show 
It still makes me chuckle. At the 1982 World Cup Spain had a player called Lopes Ufarte which was another source of mirth  |
