If you had arranged (as a couple) to meet a single male/female (socially) and your partner was for some reason unable to meet (illness/ work etc) would you still meet the person with whom you made the arrangement in order not to let them down?
It was something that we were discussing last night on our way to meeting a single person. Just curious really what people think? |

We wouldn't go ahead with the meet, the other person arranged to meet a couple so I think that they would rather have a cancellation than just meeting one person. Also, may appear to be dishonest, ie. a single man pretending to be a couple then saying at the last minute that his partner couldn't make it. Z |

It would depend on how well we know the person,if it was a first meet then definately no but if it was friends and the other partner would be able to turn up later then of course that would be fine |

"Yes, it's like a buy one get one free, without the freebie lol

trust you to see the logical conclusion lol - we arrived at the conclusion that if humanly possible we would reschedule = we hate letting people down but then we would not meet separately, so seems like the only option really. |

Id reschedule, if im meeting someone from here that is supposed to be a couple, id want to meet both, and if they insisted, id call it of and i wouldnt verify either. They might afterall be a single guy in reality rather than a couple, or one half of the couple happens to be married to someone else, that to me is not a couple |
