clacton on sea

i'm entertaining a lady friend one evening next week, and i was wondering what to lay on for a dinner as it's something thats to be part of the evening.

OK nothing heavy as it would spoil any play later in the evening, but should i go for a finger food buffet type meal, or something a little more traditional ?

was thinking that a finger buffet might be a little more erotic and fuel the evenings fun and games

BELFAST UK

Pastrami & Cream Cheese Bagel

This Recipe is so simple that anyone should be able to pull it off. Dive right in and have yourself a quick homemade lunch.

Split two poppyseed bagels in half. Toast them lightly

Mix 3.5 oz of cream cheese with 1 tbsp of whole grain mustard, add salt and pepper

Spread the cream cheese mixture over the bagels.

Arrange 2 or 3 pastrami slices, a sliced large gherkin (or cucumber if you can’t find a gherkin), and some arugula leaves on each bagel base. Put the top half of the bagel on and you’re set! Umm, umm…

this is a lunch type meal but perfect and light

Torquay

I have just started making and selling 'Eton Mess' chocolate slabs in my shop....very nice they are too.

If you are going to make a meal on a 'date' then make it light and non spicy.

Eton Mess.....Buy meringue nests, strawberries and whipping cream from the supermarket.

cut up the strawberries into small pieces, crush the meringues, whip up the cream until stiff then add the strawberries and meringue pieces and a couple of teaspoons of sugar.

Mix well and put into glasses and chill.

totally agree with finger buffet - you can use food to tease and tempt and if you dont know the lady's taste a selection of finger food is bound to have something she will enjoy - dont forget sensuous strawberries;-)
