I've just been looking at buying tickets to see Michael McIntyre. I know he's not everyone's cup of Earl Grey, so I imagine half the posts on this will be of the you'd have to pay me to see him variety. However, that is silly money. He's good, but £40, including booking fee is outrageous
There are no end of really talented comics out there, Moorhouse, Mcdonnell, Hughes, Lawrence, Monaghan, Goldsmith, Stevenson, etc, who can give just as good a time.
I'll get off my soapbox and go and get ready to go out, but cripes, I'm in shock at this. |

But haven't ticket prices for anything half-decent become outrageous? Any act that I am interested in seems to reach the £20 mark at least. Multiply that by the seat numbers at the venue and it really does add up. Still, that is capitalism. If you can sell the tickets at that price, why not? |
