Watching the news - Iraq just now.
I hope Bliar and Dubya are watching and can see the legacy their illegal war has left behind....Always inevitable.
Went into Iraq in response to 911 ( though no evidence linked Iraq, no evidence of WMD).
Hundreds of our brave troops (and thousands of dum yanks) lost their lives for nothing...
Now a branch of Al Queda taking over huge chunks of the country....
We'll done Tony....cheers for that!

"Why are the yanks dumb? They are someones brother/husband/son as well as ours."
Or daughter/mother/sister.
I've met some really moronic Americans but there are also some really moronic Brits.
I've also met some lovely, dazzlingly intelligent Americans. |

Surely that goes for our "brave troops" too then, joining up when they know the government will happily send them into illegal wars that are nothing to do with us, just because the US want them to? |

The "dum" (their spelling not mine) refers to the fact that in Iraq a fair share of our and their body bags were as a result of their "friendly fire". The average GI / marine seems to have an IQ somewhere in single figures - but obviously there are exceptions.
Dumb, smart or whatever....the point is the absolute waste following Dubya and Bliar's ego trip into an illegal and totally pointless war. |

Quite apart from the rest of your comment, how can you trivialise one country's personnel involvement against another's when they were all involved together in the same war?
Both countries armed services personnel had no choice about going. That was their job. So to call the USA forces "dumb" whilst calling ours brave, is do crassly out of line. Shame on you! |

By that logic ours are even dumber. They are dying in wars that Blair dutifully followed America in to for no obvious reason.

"Back to Iraq. What would have happened if we and the US didn't get involved? "
Over 1 million iraqi civilians wouldnt have been killed as collataral damage and hundreds of us/uk serviceman/woman would still be alive today.
sadam was a evil guy but the price for regime change with all those lost lifes wasnt worth it.

I used to have a pet Camel Spider last time round.
It was the Squadrons mascot. I just looked after it. Fucking massive. Used to feed it beetles.
Samson we called him.
Till he escaped
For 2 months after we were all too scared to go to sleep let alone the Mortars and IDFs on the compound! |

Millions of dead Iraqis and thousands of troops would still be alive. And Al Queda/Isis would not be there as one thing Saddam did was keep them out. |

Think you should check your facts more british service personnel where killed in Brit on Brit friendly fire than by US on Brit friendly fire |

This was being reported today on various Radio channels. Saddam wasn't the best leader of any country in the world, but what he did best was to keep the radicals like AlQueda and the Islamists in check.
