I'm looking at booking one of these for the old man as a Christmas box. Has anyone done this? Is it as good as it looks?

Steam train or steam engine? There's a steam engine that gets hired out on our roads and seems to often be out as we're knocking off from work...not sure what the tourists make of the irate nuclear workers stuck doing 7.3 mph on the twisty Cumbrian roads and the fading cries of "wankers" as 200 cars finally manage to pass them on the 127 foot stretch of straight road where it's possible to see if anything's heading towards you

Hi, I have been on one on the Great Central Railway and it was great fun. The good news is that you don't have to have a beard or a little train spotters guide to enjoy it. Just enjoy having all that brute force and energy at your disposal!

Steam train, as opposed to a traction engine. I'm sure he'll enjoy it and for 71 he is in good nick. I'm thinking of getting it for this Summer as an early present
