Today it's reported that almost a third of the population is on the verge of developing type 2 diabetes costing the nation millions in health care and other untold costs.
Tobacco companies are hammered with taxes and health warnings oon their products so why not the manufacturers of the processed rubbish sitting on our supermarket shelves? Marketed as fat free yet full of sugar or healthy when it's clearly not why do they get away with it ? Wipe the sticky sugar filled fat donut jam off your face and demand change before society kills itself ! |

i think its because theres too much of everything in the supermarkets, we dont need all these different types of junk food, the more food there is the more you want to eat, if its not there you dont think about it. when i was a kid there wasnt so many different foods which i think was better.
i found out i had diabetes 2 a couple of years ago and my older brother has got it too. also when you see cookery programs on television they are always cooking cakes and things which are bad for you. |

You can't ban everything that is 'bad' for people.
Tomatoes cause cancer. Bbq food causes cancer and impotence. Tomatoes can prevent cancer. Cabbage stops calcium storing in your body. Just several things that can be backed up by 'evidence' on the net.
Healthy eating education is what is needed, not a blanket ban on all 'unhealthy' foods. No food is unhealthy in moderation. |

That was kind of my point. At some point or another everything has been bad for you. I remember my gran refusing to let me or my sister eat eggs because of the salmonella scandal.
And actually too much cabbage can inhibit calcium intake, it's to do with the basic chemical make up of green leafed vegetables.
