I dont hate her, shes just not my type of person. Couldnt stand the spice girls, shes not all that to look at although she does dress nice.
i think shes shallow, bit silly, she would bore me to death i think. |

Plenty do hate her though and I agree it can only jealousy.
I think she comes across as socially awkward, but I can't see what to criticise besides the superficial - same with him really.
Both done well in their careers, work hard, deal with ridiculous level of attention, seem I be bringing up their kids well in circumstances none of us can imagine and still do their bit for others. I wish there were more like them, maybe then we'd be a little less bitter at people's success. |

Kind of understandable - I expect most would. Married to one of the most desirable people in the world with a media intent on belittling you and a lot of women with a deluded sense of jealousy. I'm sure she sleeps well enough though  |

dont you think they are a bit greedy though with all the money they have got but still always trying to make more?
i dont know about jealous though because lots of other people i do like are also rich and famous, so that doesnt make much sense to me.
I find victoria rather pretentious, never have liked women who are that obsessed with their looks.
could understand her being vain if she was actualy good looking but shes not.
Might like her a bit more if she didnt look so miserable all the time. |

I think a lot of the jealousy stems from a thought that people think 'he's just a footballer' and 'I could have done that - I was in Great Bumpkinville FC, top scorer ya know, then had a career ending injury to my little toe...'
and she was afterall the girl that couldn't sing too well in a manufactured band - well anybody could do that couldn't they? And then she had the cheek to bag the bloke everybody fancied after he phoned her - how dare she, who does she think she is?!
Of which there's an incy bit of truth, but then they've both turned out to be very driven people and I guess people like that always want a challenge hence the ongoing ventures.

I started watching this programme with very low expectations, and ended up likng the bloke a lot more than I thought I would. He seems remarkably grounded, and clearly realises that the vast majority of his life is a bit unreal.
I particularly liked the bit when he had just explained football to the jungle tribe leader, and his friends asked if he'd ever had to explain the game before to somebody who had no idea at all what it was. "No, not really.. well, the wife..." |

That made me smile too.
I was stood behind him in the queue in MandS once and a Mum in the queue next to us was whispering very loudly to her small boy saying 'Look theres David Beckham'.
The boy was looking at the cardboard cut-out of Beckham that was advertising his kids clothing range and the lad was decidedly unimpressed but his face when he turned round and saw the real one was priceless. Beckham was laughing his head off and went over to say hello. Nice guy. |

I have a lot of time for Becks. He seems like a generally good bloke, unlike a large number of them, who are simply overpaid numpties, and in some cases mere thugs. |

I've finally caught up and seen this.
He's lovely. It was a much better programme than I was expecting. Becks describing his upbringing, with Sir Alex as his second father, really gave a sense of how grounded he is.
