The truth is many will be involved in all sorts of criminality, violence and aren't exactly the sort of people who have integrity or decent moral compasses. |

They were only mafia of New Jersey which is relatively small. It is fairly accurate as it was based around the mafia in NJ, the DeCavalante family.
I remember reading articles about the 'real' Tony Soprano at the time and his house was very ordinary and nothing glamourous - organised crime isn't what it used to be.
In case you fancy having a look:

Have a mooch at Mob Wives. Follows the wives of 'mobsters' in Staten Island. Interesting looking at that lifestyle from the other perspective.
IMHO you can't beat the Godfather trilogy. |

You said you like the lifestyle and men. And the lifestyle is basically taking what they want and beating/killing people who get in their way.
And it's the men that do it. |

I find the lifestyle interesting and somewhat dangerous does not mean I condone what they do...like I said it's the bad boy syndrome one which I don't suffer from... |

The link The Libertine put up to the real life inspiration for the Soprano's - the New Jersey mob is interesting. Everyone seems to come to a bad end. As a career path, it doesn't have a lot to recommend it. |
