You could rewind it so you can then skip the adverts.

I never watch 'live' tv anymore, only ever stuff I taped. My finger's straight on the FF button when the ads come on.

I never get chance to forget. Slightest hint of an advert and a voice comes from the other end of the couch saying 'you can forward it you know!'

I either forget or spend more time fast forwarding and going too far then rewinding too far back then fast forwarding again

I turn it over when the advert come on then forget to put it back then remember thus insuring i miss the best bits of everything every night.
