"Did you go to Grammar School? "
Laughing...no!
I suppose I'm outraged at the comment someone made. This person said that on this site it doesn't matter about spelling or grammar. |

No I'm with you, It has to be right. It's probably down to being half beaten to death by my primary school teacher each time I got it wrong. (That was in the "olden days" when teachers could get away with hitting their pupils!) |

Each to their own.
Personally, I try my best when it comes to spelling and grammar. It helps when you have something to say and you want to be taken seriously. Especially here in the forums. |

As has been said many times before on this site and possibly countless others across the universe, as long as you can understand what a particular post is all about then punctuation and grammar pale into insignificance really

Your use of the thumb is grammatically incorrect. |

To be fair its something i dont get anal over it, i try to include it however if i forget it doesn't mean im a bad person or ill educated
Means i can't be arsed
Posts on a laptop tend to be better punctuated than those i make when using my phone. |

I try my best too, i love grammar and good spelling!
And thats why I say on my profile and forum posts that i am French. Its not to 'show off'! It took me a wee while to post on forum, but i am still careful in case someone 'gets the wrong hand of the stick'

I personally think its important and always try to make sure that any mail sent has the correct grammar and spelling. I also try to make the mail relevant to the the lady concerned. I just think its good manners to try do so. Text speak can be very hard to understand at times. |

(F) We find reading forum posts or profiles with no grammar or punctuation annoying. It's really off putting & annoying reading a profile 2 or 3 times just to find out where 1 sentence ends & another starts because people can't be bothered to use a full stop or a capital letter. If something's hard work to read & make sense of, it's not worth reading in the 1st place. |

You're not a chav or unfuckable...sigh.
I just put it out there as I note how many use text speak over the age of 40
and how lazy some seem to be when it comes to communicating.
It isn't something I've ever done.
