Is it possible to get one on the NHS or is it a private only operation?

Depends on where you live. Speak to your Doc.

evesham

Also depends on the reason, current health.etc I believe. Things like that need to go before a board to see how deserving of it you are.

It depends on the reason for having it

if its purely cosmetic then no

I have a friend who had two sets of twins within a year of each other that left her belly very miss shaped and she had one but the NHS don't care about scares they removed the skin but left a terrible scare that they told her should would have to go private to cover if she wanted to

Central

I think that unless it is causing you severe distress or other health problems that it is unlikely to be via the nhs. Hope you get what you need

My friend went to Bulgaria to have hers, 3,000 but I could be wrong! Look at abroad, much cheaper! The difference in her is amazing, so much more happier! Since having it she has got a job, a man and goes out! Who knew something so small would have an impact! Go for it!

My doctor said I've got a good case of getting labiaplasty on the nhs. The board have said they could possibly fund it depending on my reason.

Think about having your labia's stuck to your underwear 24/7 and the pain is like being stabbed with a knife

it is much cheaper abroad

I've lost quite a lot of weight recently, nearly 7 stone, still got another 3 to go, because of this my skin has gone a bit saggy round my boobs and belly, I've looked into having my boobs and belly done after I have lost the rest of my weight, best quote I have had in the uk IS £10,000, I have been quoted as little as £3,500 elsewhere, but you hear such horror stories about cosmetic surgery in some counties and the price different does make you think what corners are they cutting to be able to do it that cheep, so it does put me off

id sooner pay the £10,000 and stay in the Uk or not have it done

it's not always a case of them cutting corners. going abroad meansa currency conversion, plus cost of living differential, plus many other countries allow bothsurgeries at once, which the uk didn't when i checked on it 5 years ago, this saving on multiple doctor and hospital fees.

Thanks everyone. It's not me who is thinking of getting it done. So many people on here that you get a broad spectrum of experience.

Thanks again xx
