Sorry to the haters. But what tune has stayed with you. super mario on the nes and Tetris on the gameboy. Not sure they're the best but they rarely go away for long in my head |

"The music when u know bad stuff is about to happen on halo 1, 2 and 3"
I hear good things about that game. But because of my Nintendo heritage I opted for the Playstation |

"There was some cracking music on Castlevania IV on the Super Nes.
rotating pipe level...jawdropped.Caverns echoe sounds..."
I just been listening to some of the music from different levels of CastleVania IV on Youtube, brought back some memories, it was a great game in its day. |

I loved the blurriness so much. I managed to run an emulator from my s4 to my TV with a separate bluetooth control pad. Much better. But much loved |

The games soundtrack was amazing, my personal favourite tracks were both from level 5, making your way through the grounds of Draculas castle, they REALLY set the tone for the rest of the game.
Also, Toejam and Earl, and the Revenge of Shinobi both deserve a mention, both games have amazing, addictive soundtracks throughout. |

Manic miner, jet set willie... But Tetris is just great. You can make up your own hum a long tune to it. Favourite is 'plink, plinky plonk, plinky plonk, plinky plink, plinky plink, plinky plink plink plonk plonk.
Too much time on our hands! |

"Wipeout! Think it was for PS1 canny tunes on that!
You must of been like 10 when wipe out was released. "
And? I played games when I was ten and I play games now. Did appreciate the music back then but I definitely can now. |

The Wip3out games have always had awesome banging tunes, defo my fave game soundtracks
Creepiest soundtrack has to be Doom also for ps1,not the frantic 8 bit guitar but the one with the atmospheric echoes, wails, moans, screams and distorted baby crying sounds.
Used to get the heeby jeebys playing that late at night in the dark with headphones on.........eeek! lol |

oh and I have to point out music not specifically made for a game doesnt count in my opinion lol..things like wipeout etc..I prefer the creativity of the game designers at least. |

There's a lot of great videogame music, and it depends on my mood as to what I want.
There's a couple of great albums I'd recommend with performances by the London Philharmonic of a bunch of videogame tracks, I'd recommend tracking those down for some variety and great performance - "The Greatest Video Game Music".
We're actually going to a concert later in the year, called Video Games Live, which should be a lot of fun. |
