- Midsomer Murders are classic

and I've been reading some books about a fictional criminal psychologist 'Joe O'Loughlin' by Michael Robotham.

Any other good murders I should know about

I'm not a great reader to be honest - if I remember right, Agatha was a bit of hard work to get into?

what I want to know is how come Midsomer has been going so long? There's only about 50 houses in the village

surely they have all been done by now

Two of her novels have been dramatised for telly by Sky. Both were rather good. Tom Hardy was in the first one.

I've just finished the new John Connolly Charlie Parker book.

And just started the mystery writers of America book of short stories called vengeance. It's edited by Lee Child - he's good too.

And both Faye and Jonathan Kellerman. Got the new Jonathan Kellerman on my to read pile along with the new Jeffery Deaver, Donna Leon and Mo Hayder.

Nothing like a bit of blood and gore to read myself to sleep with!

It depends on the person I guess. I am a French native speaker and I have read some of Agatha's books in English and they were ok for me. Ian Rankin is more hard work for me
