I love asperagus - my all time favourite vegetable - especially the white variety - yummy indeed.

kent has THE best asparagus but for such a short period of time ...so its my mission to eat lots !! good job I'm single so no one to notice the odd side effect it has

I like the green, dont get me wrong but as I grew up with the white variety I guess I have always had a penchant for the white... now on my way to Kent lol |

you have the british asparagus festival up in evesham dont you ?
provocative,,down you come, but then you'll want to stay for the cherries and strawberries in the next few weeks, and the peas and baby broad beans, then the plums and cider festival ..
the garden of england, or is that allotment lol

yep - we even have an asparagus auction lol
took my nephew on a farm open day once and we went on a tractor ride round the farm where they showed us a field of asparagras growing. He got back and my mum asked him what he saw and he just said 'it was boring - just a field full of twigs ' |
