not so originally they were Newton Heath LYR FC(Manchester)
but I would agree that they are not the best thing to come out of Manchester.
In my opinion it would be either the Ramblers Association or the BMC (British Mountaineering Association) |

they may have come from newton heath but they wernt manchester united then so man united arnt from manchester
