"Shop around for the best prices for gold,is cash generator like cash convertors? Id avoid them and go to a watch specialist or a jewellers "
Unless of course they're stolen when any police station will give you a fair exchange rate.

If it is worth a few hundred quid or more then I would advise going to the jewellery quarter area of Birmingham and sell it there. There are lots of places that will offer you the best prices in the uk and you can haggle by going from one place to the next to inflate the price.
I'd start with Lois jewellers and go to the three or four shops surrounding it.
If the watch is worth less than a few hundred then it may not ben worth your while and find something on iur local high street?
Be careful about the gold Karat rating. I suspect many high street jewellers just blag and tell you a lower karat whereas many in jewellery quarter have this laser device worth thousands that instantly tells you the karat to an accurate level. |
